Doporučuji velice zajímavý článek od Richarda Floridy, známého autora „The Rise of the Creative class“, ve kterém popírá myšlenku univerzit jako motorů rozvoje měst, kde se nacházejí, a upozorňuje místo toho na jejich úlohu jako „ekosystému nebo infrastrukturu tvořivé znalostní ekonomiky.

Have a look at this very interesting article by Richard Florida, the well-known author of “The Rise of the Creative Class”, in which he opposes the idea of universities as engines of development for the cities in which they are located, and instead points out that we should think of them as “an ecosystem or infrastructure for a knowledge-driven, creative economy”.
